Shufna Al Dunya (we have seen the world)
We have seen the world
and we have known a lot
walking through the dark nights with the stranger's strain.
My homesickness imprisons my existance.
The memories come through my mind
like the breath of flowers and roses.
Remembering your fascinating prettiness
and your shining face.
When, my beloved, will you be mine.
Then my dreams come true
by having you here by my side.
We have seen the world
and crossed the seas
never knowing when we shall
return home again.
Asking the birds of passage
to deliver the messages of my devotions
to my beloved one in the eastern world.
